9th August 2018 - Touring Southern Bohemia

Today was our last day of touring Southern Bohemia. Martin would be leaving us at lunch time. We headed to the town of Klatovy where there is a museum containing the mummified bodies of Jesuit priests. They were all mummified naturally by the perfect conditions in the catacombs. Two things were good about the museum, (1) It was very well presented and (2) It was temperature controlled which means dry and cool. Outside it was 31C .... again. After we saw the exhibition we ventured into the heat and had a cool lemonade at one of the restaurants on the main square. In the evening we had all been invited to Pavlik and Helena's place for afternoon tea. What a feed after which we didn't need any dinner. In the evening we headed for our local pub and had mucho beer. The barman was a real character and he spoke a fair bit of english and spanish so we got on like a house on fire. He kept bringing us beers some of which he charged us for and some were gratis. He kept tally like a tallyman with a scrap of paper marked with slashes for each type of beer we had. In the end when he tallied it up he mumbled something and came up with a price he thought we'd accept??
This is the tally sheet. A bit dark but should be visible when you zoom in.
Needless to say we were the last to leave. As we staggered back to our house we could hear him singing as he cleared things up.
